The Moment

Device The Moment selects magnetic fluid, ink and water as media. Similar and different properties of magnetic fluid and ink are used to achieve a dissipating visual effect. It presents three states, 'unchanged' 'instant change' and 'continuous change' at the same time to record the dissipating of things and changes in my attitude.

concept

The purpose of the device is to enlarge the moment when things suddenly dissipate, and to record the change in my perception of this phenomenon.

It might just be a wallet that fell on the corner, It may be a murmur that could not be heard after a night, or one day I went home and found that she didn’t shake her tail and run towards me.

Many things, like the dot that alwasy marched in a same way, existed in silence and be neglected, but when it disappeared, I suddenly realized that it was important, the impact of the disappearing moment for me is obvious, like the sudden appearance of black ink, but as time goes by, things disappeared like a drop of ink scattered in the water is diluted, I will return to my daily life, It does not seem to have any signi cant impact on me.

However, when I look back , It is undeniable that these disappearances actually leave indelible marks on me, and they are accumulating over time, like flowing, sedimentating, changing inks, which constantly change my attitudes and habits and finally make me become who I am.
