Bubbles
Bubbles is the second work in the
Missing series. Device records the
state of the bubble burst. The copper
plate is energized for heating, and
the water marks generated by the
bubble falling on the paper are quickly
evaporated, but with the continuous
high temperature, since the special
solution's burning point is lower than
the paper, it will be carbonized first
and leave traces.
「泡影」是「此刻」的續章，
裝置紀錄泡泡破裂時的狀態。對銅板通電進行加溫，泡泡落在紙上破裂後產生的水痕很快蒸發，但隨著持續的高溫，由於特調溶液燃點比紙張更低，會首先被碳化留下痕跡，顯現它破裂時的樣子。如果說「此刻」紀錄的狀態是消散，那麼「泡影」紀錄的便是再見和再現。

The beautiful memories are gradually
forgotten with the disappearance
of things and the time passes. Like
the evaporation of water marks
disappears, as if it never happened,
people can't help wondering whether
it really existed. I want to prove this
existence by recording its final posture
before it vanished.
The solution of bubble water is adjusted by adding sugar-containing substances to make it have a lower ignition point than paper. After heating, it carbonizes. The traces left on the paper are the substance of the bubble itself.
Device records the last look of it when it was a bubble, without using external media. The appearance of the record is different from its "lifetime", as if the memory will always become different after the tempering of time.
There are many kinds of records, photos and pigments will fade, and even memories will fade. When the people who carry the memories are gone, what should I use to prove that this happened. To prove the existence of something with its own existence, although it sounds ethereal, it is my original intention to make this device.
概念
美麗的回憶隨著事物的消失和時間的推移被逐漸淡忘，像水痕蒸發消失，如同不曾發生，應驗了「如夢幻泡影」那句話，讓人懷疑它是否真實存在過，我想藉由紀錄它最後的姿態來佐證這種存在，佐證那些已經消失的美好都曾確實發生。
泡泡水的溶液經過加入含糖物質的特調，使其燃點比紙張更低，加熱後碳化，留存在紙張上的痕跡就是泡泡本身的物質，紀錄著它還是泡泡時最後的模樣，不借用外在的媒介。紀錄下的樣貌與它「生前」有所差異，就好像記憶在經過時間的淬煉後也總會變得不同。
紀錄有許多種，照片和顏料都會褪色，連記憶也會淡忘，當承載記憶的人也都逝去了，我該用什麼來證明這一切發生過。用事物本身的存在來證明它「存在」，雖然聽起來虛無飄渺，但也是我做這個裝置的初衷。
